HOWTO: Fix Wi-Fi Connection Problems
Sometimes, choosing a visible wireless network and typing in the correct pass key is not enough to connect a Kobo to Wi-Fi. This is a known bug. The trick to fixing it is to add the wireless network manually (using instructions shown on the page link below) with exactly the same name as you can see.
Bizarre, but it works.
