Reboot the Chromecast.

Wireless Connectivity Issues With TP-Link Powerline Adapters

On your main internet router modem, change the Wireless LAN Security Encryption type from WPA+TKIP to WPA2+AES only and reboot.

Then, when wifi is back up, power cycle the Wi-Fi Extender to pick up the new Wireless WPA2+AES.

Then, factory reset the Google Chromecast and setup.

This time, it will work!
