Possible Samsung Kies Hack
Use the following changes in the Windows Registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\DeviceDB\3] "SoftwareRevision"="I9000XXJF3/I9000SWC/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3" "ProductCode"="GT-I9000HKDXEE" "HIDSWVER"="I9000XXJF3/I9000SWC/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3" "DEVCONINFO"=" MN(GT-I9000);VER(I9000XXJF3/I9000SWC/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3);HIDVER(I9000XXJF3/I9000SWC/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3);PRD(GT-I9000HKDXEE);SN();IMEI(###############);PN( );CON(AT,MTP,MTP);LOCK(FALSE)#OK#OK" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\] "LocalVer"="1.5.3.10103.100"
Use the Kies version that ends on ...93_82
Uninstall your Kies and delete the Kies folder in the "Samsung" library in "programs" do not delete the folder with the USB drivers.
Install Kies in the old version, open Kies and do not update it when it tells about a new version. Just say no. Plug in the phone and wait until Kies finds it(otherwise you will not be able to find the value in "DeviceDB"). Open Regedit and change the values(use Copy-Paste) exit regedit and now try to update the phone in Kies, should work nicely.

Soft Brick and Hard Brick
TBD
Heimdall Flashing
Extract the LineageOS zip and find the boot.img file. Take this file, Heimdall, and TWRP image and place them into a common folder. Then download this to the folder and make sure the file matches with the given md5 checksum. Then put the device into download mode and run...
heimdall flash --repartition --pit I9100_1.5GB-System_6GB-Data_512MB-Preload_by-the.gangster.pit --KERNEL boot.img --RECOVERY twrp-3.1.0-0-i9100.img
...to flash the files.
Basically what this is doing is flashing a custom kernel, recovery, and pit. The S2 has a weird way that it deals with recovery. It technically has a recovery partition but it isn't used and instead the recovery is usually installed with the kernel. What flashing the custom kernel does is the LineageOS kernel contains a thing called IsoRec that redirects the device to the recovery partition (where TWRP is) when recovery is booted. Flashing the PIT is for a separate issue where the system partition is too small to flash LineageOS. Be careful though because flashing the wrong PIT can brick your device.
Hidden Service Menu
Go to your phone dialer and "dial" the following string:
*#*#197328640#*#*
This will trigger the Service Menu.

http://theunlockr.com/2012/04/20/how-to-root-the-galaxy-y-pro-b5510-and-the-galaxy-y-pro-duos-b5512/
- Before You Begin
- You need to have updated drivers from Samsung. You can install these automatically by installing Samsung Kies.
- There’s no real need to back up anything as this will not need a data wipe, but do so just in case you run into problems.
- Download the Universal GB Root file.
- Rooting the Galaxy Y Pro and the Galaxy Y Pro Duos
- Enable USB Debugging on your device. You can do this by heading to Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging and checking the tickbox next to it.
- Connect your device to the PC.
- Put your device in USB Storage Mode and copy the universal_gb_root_v15.zip file you downloaded above to the topmost folder on your SD card. You can put your device into this mode by selecting USB Storage when your device prompts you for the type of connection when connected.
- Disconnect the device and power it down.
- Put the device into Recovery Mode. To do this, hold Volume Up and the Home buttons simultaneously and press the power button. Now, hold all three buttons until the device screen shows the GT-B5512 Boot Logo and then goes black.
- From the Recovery Menu, select ‘apply update from SD card’. Use Volume Up and Down to navigate and the Home button to select the desired option.
- Navigate to universal_gb_root_v15.zip and select it by pressing the Home button.
- Wait until you see the message ‘Install from SD complete’.
- Select ‘reboot system now’.
- Check with Google App 'Root Checker Basic'.
