HOWTO:

RESET THE DATABASE

sudo service mediatomb stop
sudo mv /var/lib/mediatomb/mediatomb.db /var/lib/mediatomb/mediatomb.db.bak
sudo service mediatomb start

There will now be a blank database waiting to be updated.

Access the web interface of Mediatomb, under the Filesystem tab browse to the media repository click on it once then click the + button to start a fresh indexing run.
